Capricorn Full Moon July 3: Priming the Pump

"I find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the universe."
His Holiness, The Dalai Lama

"The question is not whether we will be extremists, but what kind of extremists we will be... The nation and the world are in dire need of creative extremists."
Rev. Martin Luther King (1929-68)

Intensity fills the ethers. Nature leads the way with severe storms and drought, and in some areas life changing wild fires. An edginess is palpable. Creative juices bubble in anticipation. We are now in the astrological cardinal zone of new beginnings, transformation and radical change. There is no turning back. Even if we wanted to go in that direction the Universe would prove most uncooperative. In the words of Rumi, "the door is wide and open, don't go back to sleep".

Capricorn Full Moon arrives on July 3rd at 8:52 AM in Hawaii, 11:52 PDT, 6:52 PM UT, and on the 4th from Bangladesh east to the International Date Line. This is the first in a series of lunations through August 2013 where the Full Moon energy seeds the subsequent New Moon.

In short, we are accustomed to the New Moon seeding the Full Moon. When the opposite occurs every 14 to 20 months, greater depth from your Full Moon intentions is brought into

Venus Transit The Sun June 5 2012: Dancing with Destiny

(written in 1878) "We are now on the eve of the second transit of a pair, after which there will be no other till the twenty-first century of our era has dawned upon the Earth, and the June flowers are blooming in 2004. When the last [Venus] transit season occurred the intellectual world was awakening from the slumber of ages, and that wondrous scientific activity which has led to our present advanced knowledge was just beginning. What will be the state of science when the next transit season arrives God only knows. Not even our children's children will live to take part in the astronomy of that day. As for ourselves, we have to do with the present...William Harkness, Astronomer (1837-1903)

On June 5th/6th, a rare astronomical phenomena graces the sky. Venus, sister planet of Earth, transits across the face of the Sun in the changeable, unpredictable sign of Gemini. While some observers may see little or no value watching a tiny black dot very slowly move across the Sun, the metaphor of the “as above, so below” suggests otherwise.

The day prior to the Venus transit, the Moon is Full and partially eclipsed in Sagittarius. While any Full Moon is noteworthy, especially one eclipsed, this particular Full Moon is more like the appetizer at a meal while we await the much anticipated main course of Venus transiting the Sun.

The charts of both eclipses are essentially the same vibration. Full Moon chart brings its focus into the realm of inner truth and higher knowledge. Let's use this energy as a springboard for a deeper exploration of the Venus transit and what it portends for our world society over the next 105 years. Also, Neptune moves retrograde this day, adding productive inward fuel for dreaming your vision for 2012 and beyond. Time to reflect on what requires adjustment to better actualize your life path intentions and purpose.

On the practical side of life, this site provides specific timings in your locale for the Venus transit. Further, the transit will be broadcast on-line from around the Globe. Quite a contrast to the transits in the 18th and 19th centuries, which had marginal technology to record and disseminate this momentous event.

Synopsis: This Venus transit across the Sun is the 3rd eclipse in the past two weeks, and the 2nd Venus transit in the past 8 years. Eclipses come in waves, each time inducing strong shifts in human behavior, worldly events, and geological and weather related changes. This Venus transit will not occur again for 105 years. Its overall planetary energy dynamics point to a new world

Scorpio Super Full Moon and Annular New Moon Eclipse May 2012: A Resounding Gong

“We are the miracle of force and matter making itself over into imagination and will. Incredible....The Universe has shouted itself alive. We are one of the shouts.”
Ray Bradbury, Science-Fiction Author, (1920- )

"Eclipses can last anywhere from a fraction of a minute to upwards of seven minutes, depending on how deeply the rapier tip of the Moon's shadow reaches the Earth; that is -- maintaining the same grisly metaphor -- whether it barely grazes the Earth's cheek, or slices clean through the planet."
Chet Raymo, Author (1936- )

Note: we posted this update at the last Full Moon. Below you will find specific details about the major Annular Eclipse sweeping over Southeastern China, Japan and the Western United States on May 20/21. This eclipse positions just to the left of the Pleaides: an amazing activation event for amazing times. In 2 weeks we will post more information about the June 5th epic transit of Venus across the Sun.

Virgo Full Moon March 2012: Mercury Retrograde arrives

"The great successful people of the world have used their imaginations, they think ahead and create their mental picture, and then go to work materializing that picture in all its details, filling in here, adding a little there, altering this a bit and that bit, but steadily building, steadily building."
Robert Collier, Author (1885-1950)

“Our whole life is an attempt to discover when our spontaneity is whimsical, sentimental irresponsibility and when it is a valid expression of our deepest desires and values.”
Helen Merrell Lynd, Sociologist and Philosopher (1896–1982).

We reach the culmination of the current lunation as the Moon reaches its fullness at 11:40 pm on the 7th in Hawaii, and on the 8th for the rest of the world. Virgo Full Moon focuses on life's details, your health and how you choose to be of service in the world.

Behind this focused intent lies tremendous spontaneity, uncertainty, and infinite possibilities...and therein lies the conundrum of this current lunation.

Neptune in Pisces and Leo Full Moon Feb 7: I See You

with balconies and clear water flowing through,
infinity everywhere, yet contained under a single tent."

"Mysterious", "nebulous", "the Oneness", "feeling my way", "dreaming the dream", and many more similar expressions underscore a significant turning of the page at this Full Moon lunation, one that guides us into the realm of the unknown...the eternal fog...the bigger vision. Time for a reality check, you are about to embark on a 15 year journey into Pisces land, the sea of everything.

The Leo Full Moon on February 7/8th shines its fiery, illuminative light on this Piscean water realm, and in turn, its potent ruler Neptune. How appropriate we begin this journey into the realm of "the All" with the blazing heart of Leo lighting the way.

Leo Full Moon occurs on the 7th at 11:54 am in Hawaii, 1:54 p on the West Coast, 9:54 p GMT, and on the 8th from the Middle East, (AST) east to the International

Cancer Full Moon January 2012: Illuminating Intuition and Nurturing

Cancer Full Moon
by Kathryn Andren-Mina

Cancer Full Moon illuminates the inner emotional landscape, family and areas of nurturing.  Ask yourself "who is my tribe?" "Where do I feel nurtured?" "How to I experience support and protection?"  "How can I drop even more deeply into my intuition?" These are supportive questions of contemplation for Cancer Moon timing.  When you listen from intuition for the answers, then take action that supports moving toward your goal.

The Full Moon at 18 Cancer is at 11:30 p.m. PST or 9:30 p.m. Hawaiian time on January 8, 2012. For locations in the US Mountain States east to the International Date Line, the Full Moon occurs on January 9th (7:30 am UT).

Insight for the Aquarius Full Moon today comes directly from our Gemini Awakening Astrology E-book: Manifesting by the Light of the Moon, A Journey Through the Zodiac:

“Aquarius Full Moon is a time of reflecting confidence. Bring your creativity and leadership skills to the group.  This is an opportunity to release self-centeredness and detachment.  Illuminate your desire to be of humanitarian service and share this higher vision with others.”

The Full Moon in Aquarius is exact on August 13, 2011 at 11:57am PDT or 8:57am in Hawaii. Here are Aquarius Full Moon themes for contemplation and support in setting intentions for this August full moon cycle:

Sun exactly conjoined Venus near Mercury Retrograde in Leo:
This is an opportunity for communication from the heart.  Mercury is still retrograde until Aug 26th, so it may be an opportunity to reflect on the past where your communication has been less than heart-felt.  Sun in Leo season generally relates to radiating your passionate, playful, spontaneity.  However, this month, with Venus and retrograde Mercury so close to the Sun, suggests a more inward time of exploring creativity of the heart.

Capricorn Full Moon July 15: Your Inner Authority

"First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination."  Napoleon Hill, Self-Help Author (1883-1970)

AstroActivator©2001 by Kathryn Mina
As June’s intensity and its 3 eclipses fade, we arrive at July's Full Moon in industrious, achievement oriented Capricorn. Full Moon occurs on the 14th at 8:40 pm in Hawaii, just before midnight on the West Coast, and on the 15th for locations further to the east onward to the International Dateline.

This Full Moon brings to sharp focus intentions you created/initiated at the last New Moon on July 1. New Moon energy enhances visualizing and dreaming your desires into reality. Now, Capricorn Full Moon provides you with the structure, direction and organization to actualize those New Moon intentions. It also provides clear indications of what is on the front-burner of change over the next 6 months (typical eclipse window).

Archetypal Saturn is the ruling energy of Earth sign Capricorn. On the external, Saturn's rings serve as a reminder that life is framed with structure. In a 3d reality, structure is essential. Like draperies in a room, the personal and societal rules we create give shape to our lives

Sagittarius Full Moon June 15: The Courageous Quest

"All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.” Galileo Galilei (1564 - 1642)

“Before God we are equally wise and equally foolish.”
Albert Einstein

"Based on the laws of physics, the effect on temperature of man's contribution to atmospheric CO2 levels is minuscule and indiscernible from the natural variability caused in large part by changes in solar energy output."
Robert Scotto, Atmospheric Scientist

Breaking News!!!! Just yesterday, astrophysicist revealed potential life changing information (how timely for the eclipse) about the current and next Solar cycle. In true out of the blue Uranian fashion, the anticipated increase in Sunspot activity in the coming Solar 25 cycle is now considered incorrect. Solar data now shows the Sun's internal activity moving in the opposite direction, towards hibernation. This has come as quite a surprise (and significant at that) to the astronomical community.

A very similar scenario played out in the mid 17th Century. Then, a very quiet Sun (less energy output) led to a "Little Ice Age" during the period 1645 - 1715. During those 70 years, planet Earth experienced very harsh and longer winters. Uncertain in this newly unfolding solar scenario is whether excessive carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (global warming) is sufficient to temporarily offset any potential global temperature drop over the coming decades. Given the Uranian nature of the announcement, I'd say there are a number of wild cards yet to be revealed.

Scorpio Full Moon May 17: Magic, Mystery and Connection

AstroActivator2002© by Kathryn Mina
This blog by Kathryn Mina

“I came here today to experience the energy of Hawaii. And what happened was I entered a magic world inside I never knew existed.”
Y Yamanakoa, Tokyo, Japan...Tsunami Charity Event participant, May 2011

May 17th 2011 the Full Moon shines in Scorpio at 26 degrees.  This is a time to illuminate magic and mystery in your life. How deeply are you connected to others? In what ways are you sharing your resources? Are you deeply feeling things you cannot explain? These are questions to contemplate and take action on in this season of the Scorpio Full Moon. Here we discuss some of May’s planet patterns and how it relates to our personal and professional experiences in Japan this month.

Full moon is a perfect time to explore the mystery of polarity in the zodiac and in our lives. The Sun is naturally positioned in the opposite zodiac sign of the Full Moon each month.  Taurus is earthy and sensual, it relates to personal property and what you really value. Tangible Taurus is everything we can touch, taste, see and smell. By contrast, the sensual Scorpio vibration

Libra Full Moon: A Question of Balance

"I believe that uncertainty is really my spirit's way of whispering "I'm in flux; I can't decide for you; something is off-balance here". Oprah Winfrey

"The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." Cicero, Philosopher (106 BC - 43 BC)

"We pray to God when our foundation is shaking only to discover God is shaking the foundation." Donald Epstein, DC, Wise World Seminars

Pacific Expanse by Joseph Mina
I write this at 35,000 feet flying over the might blue Pacific, en route to Hawaii after a 3 week inner healing journey with Kathryn in eastern Colorado (yes, we were traveling during a Mercury Retrograde, and grace, serendipity and spontaneity were definitely our guides!!!).

As I look out over the seemingly endless expanse of ocean and clouds below, I'm struck by the enormity and beauty of Planet Earth.

From this lofty, serene perspective, I find it hard to fathom an intense societal struggle now rages in various areas of the globe for something new...something different. Yet, the current planetary aspects continue to point distinctly in that direction, creating more and more fuel for evolutionary shift...radical change...passion...and freedom. Can you feel it?

Look back over the past 3 years and reflect how change has impacted your life and those close to you. Does this “look back” fuel a desire for returning to something familiar, tested and seemingly reliable, or add impetus for something new, uncertain, and exciting? Therein lies the polarity of choice now vividly expressed and amplified world-wide.

Aries...first zodiac sign, currently provides the high octane fuel driving this shift. This unusually strong preponderance of raw, cardinal energy, spawned in March, continues unabated through the next Full Moon in May.

Today, the Moon reaches its opposition with the Sun in Aries at 28 degrees at 4:44 pm in Hawaii. Other times for the Full Moon are 7:44 p (PDT) on the US West Coast, 10:44 p, East Coast US and after midnight on the 18th in western South America, east to the International Dateline (2:44 am GMT).

This is last of 3 consecutive super Full Moons for 2011. A super Full Moon occurs when the

Virgo Full Moon March 19: Awakening a Deeper Service to Humanity

"I've come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that's as unique as a fingerprint - and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you."  Oprah Winfrey

"Service...
Giving what you don't have to give.
Giving when you don't need to give.
Giving because you want to give."
Damien Hess, Musician

Virgo Full Moon comes to light on March 19th at 8:10 am in Hawaii, 11:10 PDT, 2:10 pm EDT, 6:10 pm Greenwich Mean Time, It occurs on the 20th in India and east to the International Date Line. This is the closest (Perigee) Full Moon of 2011, and the closest to Earth in the past 18 years. Hence, the Moon, especially when rising or setting may seem quite larger than usual.

"Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart."
Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC)

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life...most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition...[you] already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." Steve Jobs, co-founder, Apple Computer (1955 - )

Leo Full Moon occurs late on the 17th in Hawaii at 10:35 pm, and on the 18th from the West Coast US (12:35 am) east to the International Date line (GMT 8:35 am). This potent Full Moon, along with the March and April Full Moons are the closest Full Moons of 2011, occurring near perigee (closest point to Earth). In other words "think big".

Full Moon at or near perigee brings an intensification of energy on many levels, including emotional expression and reactions. Also, this is the 4th of 5 consecutive Full Moons positioning at the end degree of an astrological sign. These "Master Full Moons" carry an added emphasis all their own. Combine perigee position and mastery influence, and you have in short a "pay attention Moon". Visually, the Moon will seem larger than usual.

Readers Digest Version - this Full Moon further amplifies this past month's on-going Aquarius themes of freedom and social equality from oppression, heavy handed governmental rule, and economic struggles. At this Full Moon, Sun (fuel), Neptune (vision), Mars (assertivness), and Mercury (communication) in Aquarius position opposite the Moon (see chart below).

This Aquarian dynamic points to catalytic like vibrations surging through Middle East countries such as Tunisia, Egypt, Liberia, Libya, Bahrain, and Algeria, creating social upheaval and in some instances quick, unexpected change of long standing governmental oppressive rule. In my estimation, this is the opening wave of similar waves to come in other areas of the world.

Full Moon in fire sign Leo promotes expression of courage, access to heart's desires and support for expressing creative passion. Add the aforementioned Aquarius line-up,and Moon's perigee and Master vibrations to the mix, and the potential occurs for more quick

Cancer Full Moon 2011, January 19: Illuminating Connection & Community

"Nature gives forth of itself willingly and abundantly; it is up to each person to not only pay respects to nature, but to give back to it in as positive a manner as possible."
Sharon O'Hara, The Growing Place

Cancer Full Moon by Kathryn Andren

January’s Full Moon falls at the 29 degree of Cancer, the most developed degree of the sign. Each of the 12 signs contain 30 degrees of angle, 0 through 29. These degrees are like miles markers on the highway indicating the planetary positions in the sky story. The 29th degree is the most developed or mature position of the sign.  Therefore, Full Moons occurring at these late degree positions are an invitation to illuminate the most evolved qualities of the sign.

This Full Moon occurs at the exact degree of the longest Total Solar Eclipse in this Century, July 21, 2009. Eclipse energy signifies a "seeding point" for what's to come. In this case, its focus was redefining how one nurtures self, others, and harmonizes and aligns with our home planet - all Cancer Themes. This Current Full Moon reconnects to that vibration, establishing this theme for these next two weeks. Quite a contrast to the tragic events in Tuscon Arizona last week. (Starman's 2¢)

The water signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces are symbolic of emotional connection. Cancer the Crab retreats back into its shell, sometimes very sensitive.  As the Crab carries its home on its back, Cancer is related to home, family and nurturing. The Moon is Cancer’s planetary ruler, meaning the Moon feels “at home” in the sign of Cancer.

Questions to contemplate for 2011 January Cancer Full Moon:
How am I nurturing myself?
How do I create nurturing connections with my family and home community?
How can I shine my light fully in my community?

Total Lunar Eclipse & Solstice - December 2010: Crimson Light Magic

"We went to the Moon as technicians, we returned as humanitarians."
Edgar Mitchell, co-founder of Institute of Noetic Sciences, 6th Astronaut to walk on the Moon

"Thirst drove me down to the water where I drank the Moon's reflection"
Rumi

The Full Moon occurs at 29 degrees Gemini on December 20th in the late evening in Hawaii (10:13), and on the 21st from the West Coast, east to the International Date Line. During this lunation, the Moon slips into the crimson filled Earth's shadow, reaching totality beginning at 9:40p (HST); 11:40 PST; 2:40a EST, 7:40a UT (Universal Time) Totality lasts for approximately 1 hr and 15 minutes. This potent dynamic occurs just 15 hours before the Sun moves into the cardinal sign of Capricorn, signaling the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere.

Let me say up front, I consider this chart dynamic as an indicator of a "seeding point" for the next 4 years, much in the same light I forecast this past summer's Cardinal Climax events. While a few astrologers suggest this Gemini Full Moon chart is the "true 2012" chart, containing the potency to create significant global shifts. I take a different tact. Reasons are outlined below.

Taurus Full Moon - Mastery Visits Sensuality

"When I'm working on a problem, I never think about beauty. I think only how to solve the problem. But when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it is wrong."
R. Buckminster Fuller, (1895-1983) US Architect and Engineer

Full Moon today in the sensuous sign of Taurus. This Moon degree position continues the mastery theme initiated during the Libra Full Moon 2 months ago. At 29 degrees it represents the culmination of the Taurus earth mysteries, including beauty, artistry, and body sensuality.

The Coming Full Moons of Mastery and Advanced Learning

"The happiness of a person in this life does not consist in the absence, but in the mastery of their passions." Alfred Lord Tennyson, English poet (1809-92)

"Gather in your resources, rally all your faculties, marshal all your energies, focus all your capacities upon mastery of at least one field of endeavor." John Haggai, Filmmaker (1917-2006)

The recent Full Moon on the Equinox positioned at the very beginning degree of Aries. The next Full Moon (Aries again) on October 22nd, and the 5 subsequent Full Moons, each position at the very end degree of an astrological sign. The second Aries Full Moon signals a return to a more familiar lunar astrological cycle where the New Moon in an astrological sign occurs before the Full Moon in the opposite sign.

The late 20 degree placements are indicators of mastery and advanced learning. This 6 month run of Full Moons in high degree placements offers you the opportunity to explore the depths of your core knowingness and talents. More on the video.

Autumn Equinox: Resetting the Balance of Power

"Good ideas alter the power balance in relationships, that is why good ideas are always initially resisted...." Hugh Macleod, Consultant

Equal day, equal night. Equinox is a time of balance as the Sun now moves into the Zodiac sign of Libra on September 22 at 5:09 pm HST, 8:09 pm on the West Coast, 3:09 AM on the 23rd, Universal Time. 6 hours later at 11:17 pm HST, the harvest Full Moon occurs. Here's the Equinox chart:

Libra is a Cardinal sign and the first sign of Fall in the northern hemisphere.  The cardinal Zodiac signs each mark the beginning of a new season, Aries Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. As the Sun first enters the cardinal signs during equinox and solstice season it adds extra fuel to the cosmic collective. Because Pluto is now in early degrees Capricorn squaring serious Saturn in early Libra, the Sun provides extra fuel to this intense duo for empowering and restructuring relationships of all kinds.
