Life has moved at a very rapid pace since the Taurus Full Moon. Perhaps the current Mercury Retrograde bridging life force Scorpio and truth driven Sagittarius has something to do with it. Nonetheless, today marks the Scorpio New Moon, one that sends the shadow of the Moon earthbound. Yes, a total eclipse of the Sun greets this day adding another layer of energy to a conundrum of recent news events that seem stranger and stranger.
Eclipse energy induces shifts and changes over the subsequent 6 months. For example, consider the changes that have occurred in your life since the last major eclipse cycle this past May. This one will be no different in its intensity. Its passage will be over the eastern parts of northern Australia and the South Pacific before ending at sunset over southern Argentina. This is a good
day to "pay attention" to signs, indicators and influences in your life in the realm of shared resources and life force.
The Sun has been quite active the past day. Strong solar flares are prime contributors to Earth changes and weather phenomena, especially around eclipses.

First, here's a repost, somewhat amended, of the New Moon details shared in our last Gemini Astrology update.
November 13/14 New Moon, incl Total Solar Eclipse at 21 Scorpio
Here's the New Moon chart at 12:08 pm Hawaii, 2:08 pm PST, 10:08 pm GMT, and on the 14th from Italy east to the International Date Line:
“Life force” driven Scorpio is the sign of secrets, power and passion. New Moon eclipses reveal that which has been hidden. This energy, fueled by Mercury Retrograde (see below) has been building over the past two weeks. For example, the news of late has been filled with bizarre, twisted stories involving these very Scorpio issues. The shocking resignation shortly after election day of United States CIA director and much decorated war hero General David Petraeus due to infidelity and the major restructuring of the BBC in England due to sexual misconduct at the highest levels and coverups are 2 classic examples of this energy at work.
Further, planetary patterns this New Moon show the continuation of the Grand Kite/Water Trine configuration previously described in our last update and set out again below. The feminine energy of the Grand Water Trine fuels powerful Pluto (ruling energy of Scorpio). That's a lot of water mojo and emotional fervor being fueled from deep within our psyches.
One suggestion: consider creating intentions at this November Solar Eclipse with some key concepts from the Gemini Awakening astrology e-book, Manifesting by the Light of the Moon, A Journey through the Zodiac available for just $7.99 USD: "Scorpio New Moon is a reminder to cultivate life force through physical exercise. It is a time for yoga, martial arts, or tantra, and a time of letting go, and releasing. Which part of you really wants to let go or dissolve? Which part wants rejuvenation?"
Also, Mars soon moves into Capricorn creating a square configuration with Uranus and conjunction with Pluto through December 4th. Greatest potency will be November 28th. Given the other intense cycles at play, and the potency of Mars/Pluto, I encourage you to use physical exercise to dissipate any emotional intensity you are experiencing. Otherwise, this energy goes mental, which is never pretty.
Kite Configuration: this geometry annotated on the New Moon chart is an extension of a grand water trine established at the last Full Moon. It adds direction and intensity to the trine's otherwise weaker vibration. Over the past 30 days water has become a huge concern in various parts of the world. Both significant floods and drought have been prominent in the news. Astrological kite's are akin to directing an arrow with a bow. The base is the foundation energy that points to a target in a specific way.
The current kite has Pluto as its base and directed towards Ceres (nurturing vibration) at the apex. Pluto, ruler of Scorpio, carries intensity. Are you using the full potency of your life force to create a nurturing world for yourself and those close to you? This configuration continues through November 27th. Expect more water related events. Purification from the Earth is upon us with unpredictable Mercury Retrograde guiding our way....
Mercury retrograde began in Sagittarius on November 6th, the same day as the USA elections and in square to Neptune. That's quite a mix of fire and water energy. Steam anyone???
Disruptions, changes in plans, mechanical failures and miscommunications are common occurrences during Mercury Retrograde. While, I was surprised to see a relatively smooth election cycle in the USA, especially given the potency of this retrograde, I realize there is a lot more happening underneath the surface soon to reveal itself. Also, remember, during Mercury Retrograde, productive direction is dictated by spontaneity and serendipity. Yet, remember Mercury Retrograde comes from strange origins. On the Republican side of the equation, there was strong confidence, based on statistical polling that Mitt Romney would win in a landslide. However, the reality showed the landslide coming towards him...as in avalanche. Most Republican pollsters were proven wrong in their projections, Romney's campaign saw a high-tech election day voting monitor system crash, and in Mercury Retrograde fashion...shock, surprise and finger pointing were the result. As I said "more to come".
Here's the timeline for Mercury Retrograde
Oct 18 - Mercury entered the shadow as it crossed its eventual direct motion point at 18° Scorpio.
Nov 6 (Election Day in USA) Mercury stations retrograde at 4° Sagittarius
Nov 26 Mercury Stations direct at 18° Scorpio
Dec 13 Mercury passes 4° Sagittarius completing its retrograde cycle.
Practical suggestions (in no particular order) for this retrograde, which incidentally moves back into Scorpio tomorrow (14th/15th):
1. Back up your computer; perform necessary car or machine maintenance or repair
2. Exercise...get your heart pumping
3. Avoid no-win "debates"; stay out of drama and gossip
4. Review what fuels and energizes you and what doesn't
5. Examine any arrangement involving shared resources. Is it working? Does it need refinement or closure?
6. Receive body care
7. Drink plenty of water; avoid over stimulating foods
8. Reset/refine your goals for the coming 6 months
9. if traveling, the "delay...miscommunication" vibe is strong in the field. In the USA, Thanksgiving holiday travel is high on the list. Hence, iIf plans go awry, move with the energy rather than fight it. Spontaneity rules here.
10. Put off major purchases or signing legal agreements until Mercury moves direct on Nov 26. Period between 11/25 and 12/13 is where Mercury retraces its retro path. Apply discernment and caution to any substantive agreements during that time.
Look for more revelations during this cycle about what has been hidden, or founded on deception. As we are reminded, there is no hiding anymore. The collective has become self-aware of its many component parts.
Conclusion: in Mercury retrograde communication fashion, more and more articles about the "end of the world as we know it" on 12/21/2012 are making their way into the consciousness. I expect a flood of information to arrive in December. While I have sensed a good deal of this shared/channeled information borders on pure speculation, given the deceptive/challenging quality of this eclipsed Sun I suggest applying discernment and your inner guidance before embracing anything being suggested about what is evolving on a planetary level.
As I have posted in the past, there are very significant world events coming our way through 2015. Uranus/Pluto still has 5 direct squares remaining. Whatever December 21'st holds for the consciousness, this Scorpio New Moon reminds us to look within at our inner world to purify that which no longer works in this amazing energy script now unfolding.

ReplyDeleteI know a lot of people will place their attention/focus on 12/21. And I appreciate how collective focus can raise consciousness/awareness. However, astrologically, 12/21 is not a "big event" day. Jupiter in Gemini continues a November beginning Yod with the Saturn/Pluto sextile, but that isn't the type of aspect that says "huge earth changes/shifts in consciousness. We'll share more about 12/21 come December. if anything, I see the Full Moon chart at the end of this month having greater astrological significant. I sense 2013 and 2014 aspects, especially Uranus/Pluto are bigger aspect times for shifts/changes in the global consciousness.
