This month, the Sun in detailed oriented Virgo illuminates the Full Moon in empathic, dreamy, unstructured Pisces at 19 degrees, close to midnight on the 11th in Hawaii, and on September 12, 2011 for the rest of the world.
As Moon meets Ceres in Pisces, and opposes the Sun & Venus in Virgo, there is added emphasis this 2 week lunation on the feminine aspects of nurturing (Ceres) and artistic creation (Venus).
Powerful manifestation aspects continue in September with other planetary patterns in a Grand Earth Trine. This energetic pattern began just days before the Virgo New Moon. We will continue that juicy discussion here.
The three Earth signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. In general, Earth signs represent the tangible world: our bodies, our homes, health, wealth and business. Further, creation and manifestation intentions are amplified this month with this powerful Grand Earth Trine (see chart below).

Pisces represents the collective unconscious, or the cosmic collective awareness. It embraces the qualities of empathy, selfless service, compassion and sensitivity. Full Moon in Pisces illuminates our magnetic pull to other worlds and intangible dimensions.This Full Moon timing represents a marriage of Heaven and Earth, or bringing our greatest vision down to Earth.
Questions for contemplation and conscious action:
- What is dreaming you in the areas of: personal resources, business, health, habits?
- How clearly can you visualize and articulate the details of your dream to create a tangible reality?
- What is the best way for your to nurture your spirit at this time? How can you be most loving to your body?

Chiron, the healing archetype of Astrology, is now at early degrees Pisces. Perhaps on this Full Moon in Pisces, and the tenth anniversary of the events of 9/11, a deeper healing may occur for the collective consciousness.
In other Pisces news, earlier this year, Neptune moved briefly into its home sign of Pisces. While Neptune now has returned to Aquarius from early August to early February of 2012, the Starman sees a greater connection with Neptune, the Lord of the Sea, ruling this Pisces Full Moon. Some of this material has been inspired by our friend and fellow Astrologer Maurice Fernandez in his recent article "Neptune in Pisces" in the Aug/Sept issue of the Mountain Astrologer magazine.

This Full Moon lunation over the next two weeks takes on heightened significance due to the entrance last April 4th of Neptune into its ruling sign of Pisces.This was Neptune's first return to Pisces in 168 years! Further, this is the first Pisces Full Moon since Neptune reactivated the Pisces mysteries in April.
Neptune's watery nature represents the archetypal journey into the unconscious, or that which is beyond tangible form. It embraces "vision", the dream-time, transcendence, poetry, and is the "higher-octave" of Venus. Its association with Venus brings in the vibration of beauty and grace, especially from the angelic realms, invoking a deeper spiritual connection to the greater mysteries of life and beyond. It also fuels inspiration, sensitivity, visual arts such as film, and psychic abilities.
On the shadow side, Neptune can evoke delusion, feelings of being lost or confused, hyper sensitivity, addictions and despair, e.g.literally drowning in one's sorrow. Difficult Neptune placements in a natal chart can be quite challenging unless a person learns how to consciously work with these types of shadow influences, especially in the physical, emotional and mental bodies.
On April 4th, Neptune entered Pisces for a 4 month trial run, and what a trial run it's been!!! Then, Neptune and the Aries New Moon formed potent energetic bookends for 8 other planetary energies (see above) spanning the signs of Pisces and Aries: the zodiac signs representing the end and new beginnings, respectively. Water is associated with spirituality as a medium for transferring grace and blessings. It is also nature's great cleanser, purifier and re-balancer. Historically, Neptune in Pisces cycles in part have signaled a quest/desire for a greater spiritual connection with something beyond our physical reality. Also, not surprisingly, epic water events have occurred during that same time. To start things off, the past 5 months have been filled with a surge of “once in a century” types of floods and droughts around the world spawned by intense and persistent storms, and record dryness. And this is only the beginning.
The current Neptune in Pisces cycle resumes on February 5, 2012, and continues through 2025-26. In the interim, Neptune back in the very late degrees of Aquarius (the water bearer), solidifies its recent 13 year passage through Aquarius in the realms of mass social consciousness, social revolution (eg Middle East), and the continued evolution of the Internet as a vehicle for social media.
Meanwhile, this Neptunian Piscean influence continues to build in the consciousness.This Pisces Full Moon underscores the evolving shift in existing realities into perhaps a new vision of spiritual connectedness and maturity for the human race. This life altering shift is best summarized in the saying "We are the answer to our prayers." More to come.
