Virgo Full Moon March 5: The Roar of the March Lion

"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life." Steve Jobs (1955-2011) founder of Apple Computer.

"Life is divided into three terms - that which was, which is, and which will be. Let us learn from the past to profit by the present, and from the present, to live better in the future."
William Wordsworth (1770-1850) English Poet

Cosmic Gorillas in the Room
March unfolds...the last square between Uranus and Pluto, the Equinox and the first of four potent 2015 eclipses wait in the wings. That's a lot of mojo for one month. Yet here we are once again on the threshold of an intensely energetic month without any sense of what lurks on this cosmic stage. Can you hear the March Lion roaring???

Appropriately, the month begins with a Virgo Full Moon being the odd theme setter for the next 29 days (Full Moon sets the stage for the New Moon through July 2016). Virgo likes to be in control of circumstances. And despite the oddity of a Full Moon setting the tone for a lunation, the intensity of these times has blurred the lines of reality to such an extent that a shrug of the shoulders or "whatever" may now be your retort to the Universe's on-going paradoxical ways.

Virgo points to the exactness of life. Associated with the archetype of the Priest or Priestess and ruled by communicative Mercury, Virgo exudes a refined, specific quality expressing itself through

Gemini Full Moon Dec 6: Sensing The Field

“We seldom realize, for example that our most private thoughts and emotions are not actually our own. For we think in terms of languages and images which we did not invent, but which were given to us by our society.” ― Alan W. Watts (1915-73) Philosopher, writer and speaker

Page by page, the calendar has shed its months rather quickly in 2014. And now only December remains. It has been a year of chaotic change and uncertainty for many people. The strong astrological headwinds of this year have been nothing short of intense. In fact, epic on many levels. And there's more strong headwinds ahead in 2015.

Change always brings great uncertainty and opportunity. As the energetic field supporting all aspects of life shifts its vibration, every component of that field must shift accordingly. And that shift will either be towards a greater evolution or a breakdown to a more cohesive and integrated lower level of organization. The current lunation points to the various headwinds fueling this shift over the coming months.

We arrive at the Gemini Full Moon, which is the last full moon of the calendar year. Gemini vibration is talkative, connective, and highly changeable. A social quality flows through Gemini imbuing it with a playful, energetic and spontaneous expression. As the opposite sign of fiery Sagittarius, Gemini's air qualities thrive on information and its dissemination to the masses.

This particular Full Moon comes with a deeper intention, one that encourages you to use your more

Pisces Full Moon Aug 31: Feelings are a Gift and Empowered Visions

Current Astrological Update from Kathryn Andren Mina

Pisces Full Moon is August 31, the second Full Moon this month! Pisces Full Moon illuminates an experience of boundlessness and Oneness.  This month’s Gemini Astrology Update is a combination of personal reflections related to Pisces with suggestions on how you can align with planetary patterns in the coming month.  Pisces, after all, dissolves boundaries.

In August, we were blessed with visits from family, friends and Brian and Jenny Lumb’s facilitation of an amazing program, Bloom.  Prior to Bloom, some of us had the opportunity experience the wild beauty of the island at Volcanoes National Park, and also swim with many spinner dolphins the morning of the

Scorpio Full Moon - Passion Express

I passionately hate the idea of being with it, I think an artist has always to be out of step with his time. Orson Welles (1915 - 1985)

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.  The Dalai Lama

Greetings or Konnichiwa from Japan.

Kathryn and I are here to co-teach bodywork, and offer private tandem bodywork sessions for the next 3 weeks. Also, here to enjoy the beauty of the Japanese springtime.

As skilled, intuitive astrologers, we see great value in exploring the dynamic astrological cycles sweeping the consciousness. As long-time bodyworkers, we value the importance of integrating this cosmic energy within our body physiology. Very excited to be in the land of the Rising Sun sharing these gifts with our Japanese friends.

Scorpio Full Moon on the 28th occurs at 2:20 AM in Hawaii, noon time in England, and late at night on the 28th in Japan. This is the 2nd Full Moon of spring, signaling the celebration of Wesak, or the celebration of Buddah's birth, teachings and enlightened life. Hence, this Full Moon is a time of receiving the gift of profound compassion from this extraordinary Master. Also, a heightened spiritual essence fills this day.

Further, full expression of one's passion/desires represents the theme of this lunation. Due to the chart's inherent challenges around lack of appreciation or acknowledgment, or inhibited playful spontaneity, the shadow side of Scorpio (inhibited or numbed life force) may appear in your experiences. Yet, using the grace of compassion can deepen this dance with the shadow in healing and forgiving ways.  Full Moon energy window spans April 27 - 29th.

Hubble's New Eyes

Through the "as above, so below" mysteries, we look outside of ourselves for indicators of inner change and opportunity. Today, the Hubble telescope shows us the way.

Over the past year, Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune have travelled together in the sign of Aquarius. At this time, they are essentially at the same degree (22-24) in Aquarius. They will continue moving as a group through early January when Jupiter moves on to the sign of Pisces. Another few hundred years will pass before this trio is together again in Aquarius.

Jupiter vibration carries the quality of expansion and optimism. Chiron represents the healing dynamic of energy. While, Neptune, in part the ruler of photography and imaging, offers us the gift of vision and the dreamtime. Their trek together in the cosmic sign of Aquarius has been showering us with grace for healing humanities vision for how we co-exist and prosper together.

This past May, the Hubble telescope underwent a significant upgrade (healing) in its optics (Neptune) and other scientific instruments. This was akin to getting a cosmic (Aquarius) makeover. The improvement in optics has been astounding (Jupiter). At the time of the repair, Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune were closely together, as they are once again.

Today, the Hubble Imaging Team demonstrated the fruits of this upgrade. In September, Hubble was pointed toward a relatively "empty" area of the sky (it had imaged this area about 5 years ago with less sensitive optics). What returned is an image filled with even more galaxies than the initial image, each an island of innumerable stars. Note, every point of light in this image is a galaxy, like our own Milky Way Galaxy. Now that's what I call a "Jupiter effect"!

As Hubble looks deep in the cosmos, we are given the same opportunity to look deeply within ourselves. Using the collective energy of the Aquarius trio this month, the time is ripe to enhance and heal our inner vision for a healthier quality of life for all.

The intensity of Mars in Leo

What in the world is going on????? Sure seems intense around the globe.

One look at the current  transit chart dynamics explains it: Sun and Mercury in Scorpio square Mars in Leo. Scorpio's life force meets the radiance of the Leo heart, or in certain quarters, the full force of the Leo ego. Sun represents the fuel of the mix; Mercury how it is imparted or communicated; Mars is where the action lies. Nothing boring in this trio.

Squares are always an edgy type of energy. Think of two forces just not seeing eye-to-eye on anything. Yet, squares in a natal chart can also be a "stop sign" of sorts, indicating "that's not the way to go", or "buyer beware". Particularly affected by this dynamic is anyone with significant planetary aspects in your natal chart in early to mid degree Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius or Leo.

Back to the world stage. This square dynamic has been rather intense across the board. Here's a few examples of intensity in the realm of Scorpio's life force meeting the ego side of Leo.

Violent acts of aggressive force (shadow Mars) have occurred over the past week in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq. Bombs, war, etc. etc. No need to go into the details. Enough to simply say "intense".

Israel and Palestine have resumed aggressive acts towards each other, this time in the holy city of Jerusalem.

Intensity can also reveal itself in the infrastructure. For example, just yesterday, the Bay Bridge in California was shut down indefinitely to traffic after one of its cables snapped at rush hour. This is the commuter route for over 300,000 cars a day! Think of the inconvenience and intensity that creates.

On a much more positive note, President Obama today signed the first gay civil rights legislation, protecting gays, lesbian, bi-sexual and trans-gender individuals from acts of violence (think Sun/Mercury square Mars). These aggressive acts are now included and treated as acts of hate carrying with it significant federal punishments. Further, this legislation has been 10 years in the making.

This intense Scorpio/Leo vibration continues through the 18th of November. Remember too, Saturn moves into Libra on Oct 30th and begins its 5 month square with Pluto. Powerful cycles for a powerful time of transition and change

After the 18th, the Sun and Mercury move far away from Mars energy to complete the square, however, they begin a square to the Aquarius energy of Neptune, Jupiter and Chiron. Sort of like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. That dynamic is for a future blog.

In the meantime, stay clear, breathe, receive nurturing bodycare, and physically exercise to allow this strong energy to easily circulate within your body.

Feel free to share how you have been personally affected by this current vibe.
