Those who intimately know me would be absolutely surprised to find me quoting Donald Trump. Yet forgetting the messenger while focusing on a message in resonance with the Libra New Moon, speaks to the shifts and changes unfolding around the globe in cultural practices and rules, and human opportunity and new beginnings. 

 

I am now in Namibia in Southwest Africa. This is a land of extreme beauty and silence, stark deserts, majestic dunes, deep canyons, desert Elephants, brilliant starry nights, and compassionate, loving people. I am here on a 14 day Landscape Photography Workshop with Trey Radcliff and his team from Stuck in Customs. And yes...pleasure and work have become one for me as I venture in Africa! With energized Mars now transiting Sagittarius, my inner journeyer is out on a quest to blaze new trails.

Where: Moon meets the Sun at 1° Libra

 

Overall Theme: Resetting your life balance. Aligning your heart's desire with a functional, fully energized structure (Jupiter in Leo square Saturn in Scorpio). 

Energy Form Created: Sun entered Libra the day before New Moon signaling the Equinox and the start of a new season. Now the Moon joins the Sun to set a new lunation theme in the realm of relationships for the coming 2 weeks. It also creates a strong focal point for the coming totally eclipsed Aries Full Moon on October 8/9 and a potent Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio/Libra (Oct 4 - 25). And remembering, in the background is the energies of dissolving and creating anew courtesy of Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn.

 

Mercury Retrograde begins in the water sign of Scorpio on October 4. It stations direct on the 25th in Libra. The theme points to congruency and deepening of relationships. Remember, Mercury Retrograde vibe is fueled by spontaneity. If travel plans or communications go awry, look for the silver lining, moving where the energy feels easiest.

 

Synopsis: The overall building theme points to strengthening integrity of self in relationship with others in your life. With whom do you authentically resonate? Who honors your individuation? In all respects, authenticity is paramount and equally challenging as you shift and adapt to rapidly changing situations in your personal life.

The other night I witnessed the Milky Way in all its splendor from the darkest of locations in the Namibia desert land. A clear view of the horizon was visible no matter where I looked. From the Southern Hemisphere, the center of the Milky Way is at the zenith of the sky just after sunset this time of the year. The powerful vibration was palpable and deeply moving. A feeling of deep gratitude and connection with life filled me. I understood on a deep cellular level "you are not alone".

This coming season includes a Mercury Retrograde (Oct), a total lunar and partial solar eclipses (Oct), a grand fire trine (Sept/Oct), Saturn moving into Sagittarius (Dec) and an intensification of Uranus square Pluto (Nov/Dec).  That's a lot of transformative fuel pointing to a very changeable and intense season with many surprises in store. At this Libra New Moon set strong intentions for allowing the power of transformation to be your guide and opportunity. Yes, stability and safety are wonderful tonics.
