We arrive at the Aries New Moon. A gong sounds...loudly. We begin anew...yet this time the ground is highly fertile and ripe for significant shifts in your individuated expression, how you relate to others, what fuels your persona in the world, and what nurtures you to the core. Yes...cardinal sign energies are building for the Cardinal Cross of late April...this fiery Aries New Moon opens a significant door for that vibration, rippling its vibration through early June. Wow O Wow!

Aries Moon positions at 10° conjunct Uranus (1), square to Jupiter in Cancer (3) and Pluto in Capricorn (2). Aries New Moon is at 8:44 am in Hawaii, 11:44a on the West Coast US, 6:44 pm UTC, and on the 31st from Eastern Europe east to the International Date Line.
This alignment points to bigger, more intense cycles and significant planetary shifts in April.
Here's a brief and wide-field 411 view for April:
- Mars continues its retrograde in Libra (4) starting the month at 22°. By month-end, Mars is positioned at 11° and immersed deeply in the Uranus square Pluto vibe. Mars retrograde in Libra is challenging. Mars much prefers Aries, its ruling sign. That's where Mars' mojo originates. Libra is much too passive for Mars. Hence, a huge pool of critical tension builds during this Libran retrograde. Use that additional fuel in physical exercise to help keep your body's energy circulation moving. Otherwise, you'll experience a lot of unproductive mental activity and inner noise. As I have previously shared, during this retrograde thru 5/19, Mars in Libra gives you the opportunity to reevaluate all relationships in your life...what works...what no longer works.

- total lunar eclipse in Libra, occurring late on the 14th in Hawaii and the 15th for most of the world. Totality is visible in all of North and South America and partially in Eastern Asia/Australia. Here's the map. I'll write more about this vibration in the next update. Viewing any eclipse is a powerful ritual for connecting to the "as above, so below" mysteries.
- partial solar eclipse in Taurus on the 29th. Note: eclipses usually come in pairs or 3's. This sequence is a pair (lunar/solar).
Eclipse energy plunges us into the shadow to reexamine some aspect of self. In Libra...it points to relationships in your life and what they mean or no longer mean to you. In Taurus, your possessions, money and self-esteem all come under the microscope.
- Cardinal Cross 4/23: this eclipse vibration sets the stage for a very significant and intense time: the Cardinal Cross. For some time, Kathryn and I have referred to this cycle as: "2014: Life at the Crossroads".
The term "crossroads" can mean a place where you make a choice or move in a new direction. Another interpretation points to the convergence of 4 paths. This epic once-in-a lifetime cycle represents our opportunity to sow the seeds for a harmonious union of life's 4 foundations: self, self with others, career and home, ie Aries, Libra, Capricorn, Cancer, respectively.
