Uranus Square Pluto May 20: Transformation Express

The heat is on for May Astrology with the life changing Uranus Pluto square once again coming to an intense placement.

The Uranus Pluto square is exact this month on May 20, just 4 days before the Sagittarius eclipsed Full Moon.  Uranus Pluto square is a topic
we have discussed in great detail in previous updates. This is the fourth of eight squares, which began the summer of 2011. There will be another square on November 1, two more in 2014, and one in 2015. This global wide life changing cycle is far from over.

Uranus and Pluto were conjoined or in close association in the sky story between 1965 and 1968.  That was a period of intense, radical change in the consciousness on broad social and political levels. Now, these 2 transpersonal archetypes square off again at a ninety degree angle, a shape that literally implies "turning a corner". This is the opening square following the mid-60 conjunction. Hence, it continues the themes energized from that 1st meeting.

Uranus is the planet of radical revolutionary change. It is a progressive or forward thinking
energy. It rules all matters of the cosmos, including astrology and technology. In Aries since 2010 through 2019, Uranus sparks high creativity or independent, spontaneous and sometimes very aggressive action. For example, the furor and upheaval througout the Middle East since 2010 coincides with Uranus' movement into Aries.

By contrast, Pluto's transit of Capricorn between 2008 - 2023, suggests total transformation of the fundamental structures of government, business and commerce, politics, and laws and rules. It also fuels the darker side of government/corporate control, ultimately bringing to light that which no longer serves the whole. Recent revelations about the political bias of the US Internal Revenue Service's harassment of conservative political groups, and the US Justice Department's access of reporter's telephone calls due to national security leak concerns are good examples of this darker side.

And on the "as above, so below" front, the most intense solar activity in the past few years occurred earlier this week (4 X class flares in 2 days - see above image). This mirrors the intensity of this building Uranus/Pluto cycle. This type of solar activity amps the solar system with highly charged particles. This solar stream passes Earth's vicinity this weekend. It will amplify our mental, emotional and physical fields, and can create "edginess". Also, it spurs creative channels. Hence, a great time to pursue artistic creations, create quiet time, exercise (preferably around sunrise or sunset, or in the evening) and receive body care.

What is the best way to personally navigate this radical time of change and transformation?

Uranus is the planet of awakening and fast changes, Pluto is the planet of power and non-negotiable transformation. If this Uranus and Pluto combo are active in your chart, "let go, let God" and be quick on your feet to respond to new opportunities presented to you at this time. Move with purpose and discernment.  Anyone who tries to dig in their heals in hopes to maintain the status quo will be unnecessarily fighting themselves.

While Uranus invites in something radically new, Pluto energy purges the soul essence of anything not serving the highest intentions of your life path. These vibrations are happening simultaneously on and off through early 2015 and speak to the potent transformations now happening on all social levels around the globe.
