You will never truly know yourself or the strength of your relationships until both have been tested by adversity. J. K Rowling, Author
Time has been transformed, and we have changed; it has advanced and set us in motion; it has unveiled its face, inspiring us with bewilderment and exhilaration. Khalil Gibran, Poet, Artist, Author (1883-1931)
The change of seasons is upon us as the Sun moves into the Cardinal sign of Libra on the 22nd before midnight in Hawaii, and the 23rd for the rest of the world. Approximately 5 days later, the Moon catches up with the Sun on September 27th, activating the Libra New Moon energies for the ensuing 2 weeks.

This particular version is not as intense as the last Equinox (heightened), however, it does continue the Uranus/Pluto square in Aries and Capricorn, respectively, initiated last March.
This on-going theme in effect through 2015 of “change and dissolving” underscores the turmoil and new initiatives seen throughout the world. Hence, in the coming season, look for more destabilizing and reorganizational shifts in the Capricorn realm of law, rules, finance, politics and organized structure. Adding the qualities of Uranus in Aries to the mix, look for unexpected opportunities for shifting your life in a new direction. In any event, this coming season ought to make for a very interesting time on Planet Earth.

Meanwhile, the Libra New Moon has a unique and potent configuration (see below) emphasizing relationships. The early degree of the Sun/Moon and Mercury further activate the Uranus/Pluto vibration. This dynamic is explained in more detail below.
Note: this and next month’s New Moon's are the closest New Moon’s to Earth in 2011. These perigee “Super New Moons”, like their Super Full Moon counterparts from early this year, carry an extra intensity, raising awareness and heightened focus/sensitivity quite a bit. Ordinarily, New Moon times are highly conducive for creative pursuits. The Super New Moon effect will further amplify those expressive channels over the next 2 weeks.

Here's the charts for the Equinox and New Moon.
On this New Moon day, there’s quite a lineup of Libra energy (see illustration below) with Mercury (communication), Sun/Moon, Venus (beauty) and Saturn (form) taking center stage.
Mercury (1) encourages you to communicate your needs/desires, especially in relationship. To what depth are you ready to share with those close to you? Because Mars resides in Leo at this Equinox and New Moon period, that sharing is best expressed from the heart (Leo) in ways that connect you to your Leo like passion and strengths.
Venus (3) in Libra, its natural sign energy, desires to create beauty, grace and ease in the realm of relationship. Saturn (3), ruler of form/structure asks what do you need to restructure in your life to ground in these deeper desires.

On the Equinox, Venus positions at 10 degrees Libra, which is the same degree at which Saturn completed its recent retrograde. So there is a learning here in this coming season from Saturn's retrograde lesson about "what works" and "what does not work" for you in the realm of relationship.
Perhaps journaling, drawing, collaging, dance or some other artistic expression can help you clarify just exactly what you want to create differently over the next 3 months with significant people in your life.
When the above themes are contrasted to the Uranus/Pluto dynamic, the more dominant message is “change is upon you”, "now is the time to dissolve those structures or constructs no longer serving you in your intimate dance with others."
Further, the Equinox chart points to the coming 3 months as holding great potential for significant shifts in your perceptions about how life flows and what serves you going forward.
The Autumn season closes with 2 Eclipses in Nov/Dec, including a major lunar eclipse in early December. Eclipse energy points to an inner journey of exploration and cleansing. These eclipses portend a strong transformational and redirecting flow requiring adaptability and movement, especially come the December Solstice. In that regard, history is replete with examples of how in times of enormous change, actions of hesitation, holding on to the old, and casting doubt or expressing fear inevitably causes pain, withdrawal and missed opportunities.
Throttle Up:
My favorite example of the flip side of hesitation/doubt etc. comes from Chuck Yeager and his breaking of the sound-barrier in 1947. Chuck, a highly skilled and decorated military test pilot was 1 of 3 pilots on a team assigned to break the sound barrier, better known as Mach1.
Each of the other pilots on the team had attempted to exceed the sound barrier, however, when their jet aircraft neared that magic point, their plane started to shake quite strongly. Each pulled back out of fear, however, the shaking continued and their jet aircraft crashed killing them instantly.
As life would have it, shortly before Chuck Yeager’s attempt, he fell off a horse breaking two ribs. Ribs are the structure and form for the lungs. Lungs are associated with breath/life, and also in their shadow element, fear. The breaking of the rib was symbolic for changing structure and moving beyond fear. Only Yeager's wife and another pilot knew of Chuck’s physical injury. Otherwise, if known, he would not have been allowed to fly since he was in great physical pain.
When Chuck Yeager approached the sound barrier, his plane, as like the others, started to violently shake. Chuck knew “what did not work”, i.e. hesitation or pulling-back. Hence, he felt he had only one option. His last words before breaking the sound barrier were “throttle up”. As his plane further accelerated, the shaking stopped. As he passed the sound barrier, in his words, "a great calm came over the cockpit". Quite a potent example for approaching life differently than what conventional wisdom suggests, especially in this highly transitional period now underway.
Gemini Awakening Coming Travels
Speaking of “throttling up”, Kathryn and I are off on a 6 week journey.
First, we visit New York City in early October, presenting Interactive Astrology Workshop, plus offering private Life Path Astrology and Tandem Bodywork sessions.
Then, we fly to Turkey for 2 weeks to explore its beauty, mystique and ancient history. From Turkey we fly to Northern Italy visiting Florence, Cinque Terra, Assisi and Turin before completing our Europe travels in Como. There, we are attending the Network Transformational Gate to further our inner growth and integrate many parts of these adventures.
On the return to the USA in early November we visit Chicago offering an Interactive Astrology Workshop and private sessions.
As we travel, posting on Facebook and Twitter is the best way to get more frequent information out. These longer blogs will have to wait until we return to the islands in early November. If you haven’t already done so, consider “liking” us on Facebook, or following us on Twitter.
