Aquarius Full Moon - Seeding a New Planetary Vision

Aquarius Full Moon arrives on Sunday, July 25th at 3:36 PM in Hawaii, 6:36 pm on the West Coast. Meanwhile, Europe east to the International Date Line witnesses the Full Moon on the 26th. 

The 25th is  the Mayan Calendar "Day Out of Time"; a day of contemplation, forgiveness and celebration of artistic freedom and creativity. Artists...start up your brushes! The 26th corresponds with the Mayan New Year and rising of the brilliant star Sirius - a wonderful time to tune into higher Galactic frequencies.

The Full Moon positions at 3 Degrees Aquarius. This places the Moon vibration in the same degree realm as the potent planetary members grouping now in early degree Cardinal signs, better known as the "Cardinal Climax". We view this timing as a potential seeding point, strongly infusing Aquarius intentions and influences into this dynamic, once-in-a-lifetime Cardinal mix. Sort of like "priming the pump" (as if it needed any more energy!).

What's being infused? The Aquarius archetype embraces the widest possible perspective, the future, technology, social groups and humanitarian, philanthropic pursuits. Hence, this higher vibration aspires to make the world a healthier place for everyone through altruistic and philanthropic means


 Here's the Full Moon Chart

 

What stands out in the chart is a "Mystic Rectangle", which includes 2 oppositions, 2 trines and 2 sextiles in association with each other. It looks like this:

The beneficial Mystic Rectangle is a geometry of balance, requiring a conscious approach to maintaining the balance. Rarely occurring in natal charts, it contains compatible elemental energies. In this case, the elements of Air (Aquarius/Libra) and Fire (Leo/Aries) establish the rectangle. Air/Fire elements are masculine in nature, i.e. activating and externally expressed.  These elements represent highly creative thought forms expressed through various forms of communication.

This foursome includes the Air duo of (1) Moon in Aquarius and (2) Saturn in Libra, and the Fire duo of (3) Sun in Leo and (4) Jupiter/Uranus in Aries. That's a lot of energy to harness/balance. Note: the rectangle's Saturn and Jupiter/Uranus opposition (5) is also an integral part of the Cardinal Climax (see below). The presence of this energy adds intrigue and surprises to this larger form. 

Full Moon day marks the last of the 5 Saturn/Uranus oppositions, which commenced on Election Day 2008. This 45 year cycle, last occurred in the tumultuous late 1960's. It represents the contentious struggle between stability (Saturn) and change (Uranus). This is the only one of the 5 oppositions that includes expansive Jupiter. Hence, its effect is amplified. Have you noticed quick shifts/changes recently in your life? Have you noticed how unpredictable the behavior of yourself or those around you has become? Uranus/Jupiter in Aries is stoking the fires of "unpredictable events and behavior", challenging Saturn's quest for stability and organization.

Underneath the Mystic Rectangle lies the potent T-square of Jupiter/Uranus (1), Saturn (2) and Pluto (3), which looks like this:

Put these two geometric forms together and you have this:

Jupiter/Uranus (1) and Saturn (2) represent the two energies common to both energy forms. So the Aquarian Moon vibe (3) is channeled through this opposition and onto Pluto (4). Pluto's mission since entering Capricorn in January, 2008 has been to melt down outdated structures in the realm of finance, industry, rules, legislation, and political affiliations. Add Saturn/Uranus to this mix and quick change, uncertainty, contentious struggle become the "norm" at least in the short term, all pointed toward Pluto's no-nonsense reworking of the field.

Practical Strategies

Full Moon periods represent the culmination of the previous two weeks (since New Moon) activities. This particular Full Moon occurs at the end of an inward 2 week integration phase from the recent New Moon eclipse in the sign of Cancer. This includes thoughts forms and subsequent actions about creating a more nurturing existence. 

Over the next few days in association with others in your social and spiritual circles, energize and seed your vision of a world functioning at a higher frequency. Do so using the artistic channels of dance, drawing, music, or other creative outlets. Think big!

Further, reflect on what has felt stable, certain and reliable in your life, but no longer feels alive and vibrant. Consider what aspects of your life require quick change to either close the door, or shift the energy to a more passionate frequency.

Chart dynamics over the next 4 weeks are quite powerful, highly unstable, and contain the potential for intense shifts anywhere on the planet. Further, the Cardinal T-square assumes more dynamic forms as both the Moon, Mars and Venus add to the energy. Mix in a Mercury Retrograde in the sign of Virgo, beginning August 20th, and you have one potent river of energy. I'll cover these various timings/events in a blog later this coming week. 

In the meantime, seed Aquarian intentions, rest, breathe, exercise, steer clear of conflict, nurture yourself in new ways and enjoy the mystical visual and energy of this mid-Summer Full Moon.
